The modern poultry industry is mainly completed with intelligent incubators. Each large incubator can hold 5,000 to 20,000 eggs. The temperature, humidity, egg flip, and ventilation of the incubator can be automatically controlled. Egg hatching requires a certain temperature, chicks hatch when the temperature is between 35 and 40.5 degrees Celsius. The egg incubation period is 21 days, 1-6 days at 38.5°C, 7-14 days at 38°C, 15 days at 37.9°C, 16-21 days at 37.3-37.5°C. The relative humidity is required to be kept at 60% to 70% in the early stage of hatching, 50% to 55% in the middle and late stages, and 65% to 70% in the hatching period. The incubation period of poultry varies according to the species: 21 days for chickens, 28 days for ducks, 30-33 days for geese, 18 days for pigeons, and 17-18 days for quails.
