The chicken manure is naturally dried using the residual heat of the chickens discharged by the fan at the end of the chicken house. The air temperature in the chicken house is generally 20 degrees Celsius, which can meet the temperature required for drying chicken manure. Generally, after 24-48 hours, the moisture content of 70%-80% in fresh chicken manure can be reduced to below 20%-30%. The air-dried chicken manure greatly reduces the storage space.
1. The data collected from the intelligent four-layer chicken manure air-drying equipment project site in Handan, Hebei, northern China shows that in March, the moisture content of wet chicken manure was 84.5%, which dropped to below 30% after 48 hours of air drying.
2. Data collected at the site of the intelligent eight-layer chicken manure air-drying equipment project in Mianyang, Sichuan Province, southwest China, show that in mid-March, the moisture content of wet chicken manure discharged from the chicken house was 86%, and the outdoor relative humidity was 88% at the time. After 24 hours of air drying, it dropped to 24%.
3. Relevant data collected at the site of the intelligent six-layer chicken manure air-drying equipment project in Henan Province, central China, show that after 12-24 hours of air drying of fresh chicken manure with an average humidity of more than 80%, the humidity of the chicken manure is about 20%.
4. Relevant information monitored at the site of the intelligent four-layer chicken manure air-drying equipment project in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, eastern China: In an environment where the outdoor humidity is greater than 70%, the chicken manure air-drying equipment can completely dry the manure with a moisture content of up to 70%-80% to 20%-30% at one time, achieving the effect of rapid air drying.
The main design of the chicken manure air drying equipment is mainly made of high-strength carbon steel plate, which is completed through laser cutting, bending and welding. The high-strength carbon steel plate with holes can carry thicker chicken manure, and it is also to increase the drying speed of chicken manure on the drying plate. As farmers know, chicken manure is corrosive. It is processed by hot-dip galvanizing or (cold galvanizing + spraying) to increase the anti-corrosion performance of the equipment to ensure the service life of the equipment.
Every day, the wet chicken manure in the chicken house is transported to the conveyor belt, the mixing system at the feed inlet, the upper drying plate, and then dried layer by layer at a uniform speed, a circulating stirring device, and a chicken manure drying device through the conveying system at the tail end of the chicken house within a fixed time. The air drying equipment is a modular product that can be customized individually. The amount of processing depends on the actual needs of the breeding enterprise.
After being crushed, granulated, sterilized at high temperature, and cooled, air-dried chicken manure can be made into organic granular fertilizer, and harmful bacteria and pathogens in the granules can be sterilized at high temperature. It not only increases the storage time of the product, but also can be used for various crops.
After high-temperature sterilization, air-dried chicken manure can be used in places such as vegetables, tobacco, fruits, flowers, and nurseries. Because dry chicken manure contains a lot of trace elements and organic substances, such as nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium, etc. The specific amount needs to be adjusted according to the actual situation.
For a single-building laying hen farm with 100,000 chickens, an average of 10 tons of wet chicken manure can be discharged from the chicken house every day. After 24-48 hours of air drying, about 3.5 tons of dry chicken manure can be obtained.
